Rachel was married to Scott on Saturday 5th April 2014 in the Elim Christian Centre in Motherwell and then onto the Alona Hotel in Strathclyde park for their reception.
It was last year Rachel and Scott booked me and you knew straight away they were a lovely couple who loved to laugh. Their wedding was no different. They had organised a really special and personal day for everyone to celebrate.
On the morning of their wedding we went up to Rachel’s parents house in Newmains to catch all the girls getting ready and having fun. It was a busy house! Makeup and laughs aplenty. Its one of my favourite parts of a wedding day. There is always so many smiles and emotions. You get to see the look of pride on parents faces as they see their daughter becoming a bride. There were a few tears before we made it to the next leg of the journey.
I left a while later to head to the Elim Christian centre in Motherwell to catch the guests arriving and seeing very relaxed groom. Rachel and the girls arrived just after and we were treated to their grand entrance led by their pretty flowergirl throwing flower petals down the aisle.
Pastor John then led a brilliant and very memorable, personalised service for everyone. You could see it meant a lot to Rachel, Scott and their families. Thanks to John we even organised a cracking confetti shot straight after. These are always well recieved and they never fail to raise a smile from everyone, especially me behind the camera!
Next we went down to the Alona hotel in Strathclyde park for their reception and photos. The Alona is a stunning venue. The function hall is a huge white marquee. It looks so nice inside and is so bright and full of light (great for us photographers!). though!
We had some brilliant speeches which were before the meal which is becoming very common as the boys want to get them out of the way ASAP! (I know how they feel!)
We left the new Mr & Mrs Ferguson dancing the night away to their evening entertainment which was provided by Yin Yang singing duo. (These guys are excellent).
